9 Ways to increase Glow on your skin



So my this blog is all about your feminine beauty. Although the things I shared here are applicable for everyone but I specifically written this for all the mom s, being at home or working and juggling up with so many responsibilities. Just want to tell you, you are amazingly beautiful, just you need is a little more care for yourself. It’s all about the conscious effort we do for our health, happiness that make us harmonious and give glowing skin. So here are the 9 ways you can follow:-


1. Fix your face washing mistakes

Face washing is very important step to keep your skin clean. But here are the points you should know to maintain the natural moisture and GLOW of your face-

1) Use right cleanser according to your skin type. Gel based for oily skin and cream based for sensitive skin.

2) Never wash your face too frequently. Even if you are washing only with water, its stripping off your natural moisture from face. So twice a day face wash is sufficient.

3) Moisturizer should be applied on damp skin. Do not wait for your skin to completely dry after washing your face. This will allow your moisturizer to absorb more easily.


2. Check your Sunscreen

Sunscreen should be the most important part of your daily routine. This helps you delaying your aging and prevent tanning and uneven pigmentation. So, if you are not using it

1) Start it from today. If you are already using it, check the SPF. Minimum should be 30 SPF. In hot sunny days and outdoor travelling’s, you can level up to 50 SPF

2) Understand that SPF should not be the only check factor as it only blocks UVB. The star rating of the sunscreen also matters.

3) Understand that single application of sunscreen never works whole day. You need to reapply it after 2-3 hr. and Even if you are using sunscreen do not forget to use physical covers like Big Goggles, wide brim hats and full sleeves cloths. This will not only add to your looks but increase your Sun protection.


3. Change your Makeup habits

Make up is an important part of our daily routine. however, it is important to Choose the right product, in right order to make your skin flawless.

Have a look to make a switch for better make up uses:

1) Use right product according to skin type. Water based, noncomedogenic specially for acne prone /oily skin.

2) Avoid dark coloured, matte lipstick for long. Lip balm before, is helpful to maintain the lip moisture.

3) Don’t forget to remove make up before going to bed. Baby oil / coconut oil/ micelle water are the best one to remove your makeup.

4) Change your eye makeup every 6 month. Wash your makeup brushes regularly and lastly at least once or twice in a week go make up free. Let your skin breath naturally.


4. Take care of your under-eye skin

The skin around your eyes is thinner and delicate than the skin on other parts of your body. And because your eyes work a lot throughout the day, from blinking to expressing your emotions, aging comes faster around this area. So this area needs little extra care.

Here are 3 specific tips you need to consider:

1) Moisturize massage separately and gently with finger tips around the area regularly.

2) Sun protection is must in form of sunscreen and Big goggles.

3) Use cold compress in form of chilled spoon or cold cucumber to reduce swelling.


5. Keep yourself Hydrated

Don't forget to keep your self-hydrated. Apart from external skin moisturization, your hydration from inside plays vital role in keeping the skin supple, toned, healthy and vibrant. So here are few suggestions to make some changes in your water intake.

1) Drink minimum of 8 glass water. Ensure this by making water monitor to your kid or some family member.

2) If you don't like drinking water more then make some variations. You can add lemon, cucumber, strawberries, funnel seeds, carom seeds, cumin seeds to it as per your choice.

3) Reduce quantity of caffeinated products /cola's in routine. Replace them with green tea, butter milk, coconut water etc. Eat food rich in water like watermelon, cucumber, and pomegranate.


6. Get your glow with greens

We always look what we eat.

1)While choosing your food go with colours -Include antioxidant-rich food in form of bright-colored vegetables and fruits. Make note that you at least consume 5 colours every day.

2) Go with the season - Eat more seasonal and local fruits and food. go with watermelon/muskmelon/cucumber in summers, Jamun /shahtoot /litchi in the rainy season, beetroot /spinach/carrots etc in winters according to availability in your area.

3) Go with nutrients - an appropriate amount of carbohydrate , fat is equally important for skin. Never go on extreme diets like only orange /only vegetables etc.

4) Go with a proper plan -Eat everything as wholesome and as a meal. So, if you eat fruits after finishing lunch won't help much rather will go in extra calories but if you eat fruits as a whole and as a meal/or snacks then it will definitely help you.


7. Get your proper beauty sleep

Sleep essentially affects everything including your hormones, immunity, healing power, and ultimately your skin glow. Minimum 6-8 hr sleep is a must for every individual. so here are few tips to improve your beauty sleep, I am sure they will help you:

1) Sleeping straight is the right position to avoid any kind of pressure on face. Follow the proper night skincare regime according to your skin requirement.

2) Avoid screen lights at least an hour before sleep.

3) Make rituals before sleeping. It may be listening to light music, spraying the mystic fragrance, speaking your prayers, gratitude, or maybe your beauty affirmations.

Just relax and have a good sleep as Louis hay says you can "heal your body while sleeping".


8. Destress

Releasing stress is the very important part for your skin healing and glowing process. Any kind of Medical , Physical or Mental stress can cause your skin to look dull, lustre less and less radiant as your blood supply is reduced to skin and increases to other body organs to cope up with stress.

So destressing is the most important part. Here are few suggestions-

1) Stay active and do exercise /yoga /aerobics or any kind of physical activity of your choice which increases blood flow to skin.

2) Practise Mindfulness in form of Meditation or any kind of activity you love may be mandala art /calligraphy/dance/painting or something of your choice.

3) Break the vicious cycle of stress -Be conscious and aware about what is creating it , Be kind to yourself as well as to others. Take small mental breaks and do deep breathings and last but not the least learn to say NO.


9. Be Happy and Grateful

The ultimate way to keep skin glow and radiant is to " be happy ". Your happiness secrets Happy hormones in body and bring the "HAPPINESS GLOW" on the face.

Now being happy is a state, which you choose consciously. here are few suggestions-

1)Make a joy list and do one thing every day out of it.

2) Be grateful. consciously focus more on good things in every situation because this will help you more than anyone else.

3) Bring your feminine energy back. Give more love, more compassion, more compliments, more appreciation. Do a conscious effort to give something to someone which will make that person happy and ultimately you will be happier.
